A successful campaign to get the Roe River recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the shortest river in the world originated from students at Lincoln Elementary School in Great Falls, Montana.
The Roe river is named so because of it's close proximity to the Giant Springs Fish Hatchery. The river begins with a natural spring and ends when it reaches the Missouri River.
