From Deutsche Welle: It is three hundred years since Spain ceded the rule of Gibraltar to Britain following the War of the Spanish Succession. According to legend, British rule will last as long as there are monkeys on Gibraltar and for now, it is the only place in Europe where wild monkeys roam.
