Down Periscope is a 1996 comedy film starring Kelsey Grammer as the captain of a rust-bucket Navy submarine, the USS Stingray, who is fighting for his career as he is saddled with a group of misfit seamen. The name of the film is a play on the 1959 World War II drama Up Periscope. he USS Pampanito, a Balao-class submarine from World War II, now a museum ship and memorial in San Francisco, played the part of the USS Stingray.

Several local landmarks can be seen throughout the movie, including the St. Petersburg Pier during the final leg of the Regatta. Other landmarks include the old drawbridge on US19/I-275 north of the old Sunshine Skyway, as well as shots of Egmont Key in the distance.

The Women on the 6th Floor - French movie from Amazon Prime Video
The Women on the 6th Floor (French: Les Femmes du 6ème étage; also known as Service Entrance) is a 2010 French film directed by Philippe le Guay. The film premièred at the Montpellier International Festival of Mediterranean Film in 2010. First shown in the USA in 2011.
Plot
Set in Paris in the 1960s, the film is a social comedy that pits the propriety of a well-to-do French family with the earthiness and humor of Spanish cleaning ladies who work in their apartment building. It follows Monsieur Joubert (Fabrice Luchini), an unadventurous stockbroker, as he befriends the Spanish maids who live on the top floor of his building. Maria (Natalia Verbeke), his new maid, introduces him to her compatriots and their simple but happy lives animated by friendship and folklore, in contrast to the emotional austerity of his own life. Slowly he recovers his joie de vivre by tasting life's simple pleasures; when his wife (Sandrine Kiberlain) falsely accuses him of having an affair he moves into an empty room in the servants' quarters upstairs, the first time he has had a bedroom of his own.
Two of the Spanish actresses, Berta Ojea and Concha Galán, did not speak French before the film and learned their roles phonetically.
The film was well received by critics and audiences in France (British critics disagreed). Le Monde wrote "The entertainment is as good as the actors are pitch-perfect. Fabrice Luchini and Sandrine Kiberlain are among our best stars." Dissenting, La Croix described the "lazy screenplay, poor dialogue, catalogue of clichés, indigent mise en scène". The New York Press reviewed the film at the Rendez-vous with French Film festival in New York, calling it "charming".
I thought it was a good comedy when I watched it via Amazon Prime Video.

How to make yogurt with an automatic yogurt maker
1. Buy yogurt with live culture.
2. Boil 1% organic milk. Wait approximately 1 hour to cool off. You can test with your little finger. If your tolerate the heat, it it is just the right temperature.
2. Pour one cup from the boiled milk in a large bowl and add one cup of yogurt. Mix them well.
3. Add the mixture above to the larger bowl where the rest of the milk was boiled. Mix it well.
4. Pour the mixture of milk and yogurt in the 7 jars that come with the yogurt maker (see below). Do not put the lids on the jars.
5. Set the timer to 9 hours. Place the cover. Turn on the yogurt maker.
6. The yogurt will be ready in 9 hours. Take the jars out of the yogurt maker. Place the lids on. Place the jars in a refrigerator for 2 hours. Yogurt will be ready to eat.

Anasazi Beans

How to find the free Kindle lending library if you are an Amazon Prime subscriber
You can find the Amazon Prime lending library books online by searching in the Kindle Store for 'prime eligible', then selecting 'Kindle eBooks' from the filters on the left side. Here's a direct link to the full library with more than 160,000 electronic books:

AeroPress Coffee Maker

From Amazon: This coffee/espresso maker uses total immersion and pressure to produce coffee with rich flavor. Because of the lower temperature and short brew time, the acid level of the brew is lower than conventional brewers. Micro-filtered coffee is supposedly so pure and particle-free that it can be stored for days as a concentrate.
It makes 1 to 4 cups of coffee or espresso (enough for 1 or 2 mugs), features a micro filtered for grit free coffee, and takes just 1 minute to make coffee (actual press time takes only 20 seconds).
To brew a double espresso or 10-ounce cup of coffee:
- Place a microfilter in the bottom cap of the AeroPress chamber and twist the cap tightly closed.
- Place 2 scoops of ground coffee from the included AeroPress scoop into the chamber.
- Stand the chamber on a sturdy mug, then proceed to pour hot water into the top of the chamber (175 degrees F is optimal).
- Stir the water and coffee with the included paddle for about 10 seconds.
- Insert the plunger into the chamber and gently press down about a quarter of an inch and continue to maintain that pressure for 20 to 30 seconds (gentle pressure is the key to easy AeroPressing).
This will result in a double espresso. To make an Americano, simply top off the mug with hot water, or add hot milk for a creamy latte. The AeroPress can press from 1 to 4 scoops, and each scoop from the included AeroPress scoop makes the equivalent of a single espresso or 5 ounces of American coffee. Fill the chamber with hot water to the number corresponding to the number of scoops.
You can also make a full carafe of coffee using the AeroPress in less time than it takes to brew a pot of drip coffee. Two 3-scoop or 4-scoop pressing, topped off with hot water, will fill most vacuum carafes.
